 Bad Girls Take 10: The Trials and Pitfalls of Valentina.

 

After being pinned as a bully all season it wasn't surprising some of the fellow cast mates held a grudge against the Nigerian fired up diva.

 

As the reunion approached many of us wondered in peril, excitement and quite frankly utter disgust, as to the possibilities of what young, bad ass and misguided attention slurring bad girls had in store for audiences tuning in everywhere. The too often misunderstood Valentina and the accompanying tragic mis-directed cast mates, proved that ratchetness everywhere is becoming the difference between the walk and the talk and plain out the new buffoonery handed out as a ticket in exchange for your self worth with a quick buck in return.

Valentina's beat down, though by some measure warranted was painful to watch and stomach. I won't trip on the non-sense moral as to what is and what is not the appropriate way to get a beat down. BUT I will note that all you Bad Girl's or Mean Girls, whatever you self identify with at present; YOU ALL NEED HUGS.

Our beloved Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to 3 months in jail. Talk about some BULLSHIT! John Locke is the godfather of the social contract, and I do not see the lesson learned: pay taxes go to jail; don't pay taxes go to jail. But why you ask do we pay taxes?? If not to protect our interests, and if its not about family first, my family or your family then what is it about? People wake up, we are living in a punishment society, and it is not serving the people, all the people, especially Black people. We inherit the world from our children. Them tax dollars better work for the children that are inevitably imprisoned and doing a term when we imprison their mothers..

Dentiny's Child is Back!

Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle are back together.  Today, the trio dropped their new single “Nuclear”.  The track is a rhythmic dance groove with those familiar sounds and harmonies of Destiny's Child.  With lyrics inspired by physics and chemistry, the song takes on a scientific approach to love.  Produced by Pharrell Williams, this track is reminiscent of hit songs from the early to mid 2000’s with the memorable sounds of those Neptunes tracks from back in the day.  Have a listen.  Are you feeling Destiny’s Child’s comeback tune after their 8-year separation?

2 Chainz and His Difference

2 Chainz recently released a video for his 3rd single - "I'm Different".  Although his popularity is controversial as many people would probably agree to disagree where his musical talents are concernced, one thing is for sure; art is controversial, and controversy sells art. In this video, 2 Chainz takes his viewers on a visual ride of challenge and provocation.  His video if filled with scenes of abnormality and difference (in the normalized sense).  He keeps his viewers in a state of watchfulness as he performs in a rather flamboyant outfit, different from other mainstream rappers (aside from Mr. West).  With scenes of "thugs" pulling over cops, topless car washes with women as the patrons, and a scantily clad old man as the worker/car washer, and oh did I mention he is riding down the street in a boat?! Yep.  Talk about pushing boundaries.

2 Chainz sure did show us that he's "different".  But aside from this being an entertaining piece, I think he and his team of directors did a decent job at creating something controversial while challenging societal norms and accepted behaviors.  Although his rapping talents are certainly debatable at times (whose aren't?) his video is a great spark for adding more controversy to his already started fire of fame.  Maybe he intended on this video to be thought-provoking and a medium for  critical discussion... or maybe he just did it to be different to sell more records.  Either way, I don't really know the motive, but I certainly don't mind the outcome.

His brush with the law and more so Chris Brown's entourage has put him in hot water, which he is no stranger to still standing his ground and fighting back. We wish you the best Drake!

They are Preggers! Adding Another to the Kardashian Clan.



 

 

 

IT IS TRUE! All over the blogasphere people including Kanye and the Kardashian Clan are confirming Kim's pregnancy thanks to good ole Kanye's commitment to the sheets.  Congratulations KimYe! Though many have in the past speculated around the sincerity of their relations, clearly the the proof is in the 'belly'. 

 

Poor Khris Humphries, Kim's dispairing husband who I am sure now has more to cry over as his desperate attempts to punish Kim in a long drawn out divorce are proving ever more pathethic and painful in light of the happy news!

 

Khris are you green with envy yet to match those beautiful green eyes of yours? Look on the bright side your still fine as hell!
